What will happen if I put mint extract in my conditioner?

my conditioner doesn't really have a smell but my shampoo smells really good but after I'm done with my conditioner my hair doesn't smell like it any more. and I want to make my conditioner smell so my hair will. I want it to smell like mint. Will anything happen to damage my hair? or do you have any other suggestions for another way for my conditioner to have a sent?
